Lock-down fun at the beach

 Lock-down fun at the beach

On Rahina/Monday my Family and I rode to the beach on our bikes. We played on the statue at the beach here are two pictures of me.

Then I went and saw what my dad was doing, he was just looking at some news about Monks (here is a link to it)

Afterwards I went and made a koru with my family it was fun, we made it out of some driftwood and shells. while I was walking I saw parts of a dead crab, some nice looking shells and then I spotted some feathers so I took them back to the koru, then I made a crab cemetery in the middle. Here are some photos
Have you been to the beach this lock-down.

Kids in Space

This term we have been learning about space.

On Tuesday, we went to Kids in Space. Kids in Space is a program that came to are school.

First she asked some questions about space. Next we got to dress up like an astronaut.

Then we watched some videos about astronauts. After that we made rocket ships with straws and paper and then we made same helicopter things. It was awesome.

We also used the bee-bots but not all of us used the bee-bots so we made a matariki star.

I liked it a lot because it was fun.

My favourite part was dressing up like astronauts.

Do you want to become an astronaut when you grow up?

Our amazing mexican slides

Language, Reading, Writing.

We had to choose a culture and we chose Mexican and we each did a slide about a different thing about Mexico and those things are: Traditional Clothing, Traditional Holidays, Traditional Games, Traditional Food, Traditional Music, Location and Traditional Beliefs and Values, then we made a poster. traditional food. It was so much fun and. We thought putting everything on the poster was hard because not all the pictures would fit. We also thought the writing was hard because there were a lot of words to write down on the paper. Do you know anything about mexican language? How do you think we can improve?

Te Waka Mokihi.

We learnt about the Mokihi waka. We learned that the mokihi waka is made out of harakeke and bulrushes and it was good for crossing rivers, but it could only carry one person at a time.

D.L.O

It was super fun and I thought planning was hard because putting it in the spot it was going to go in figuring what colors to.

What do you think we could work on and how we could make it better?
